Stormline Weather — Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Stormline Weather, a weather app published by Northbaseworks, LLC ("Northbaseworks," "the Company," "we," "us"). On Android, these Terms are the agreement between you and Northbaseworks. On iPhone and iPad, your license to use the app is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, Apple's Standard EULA; the sections of this page about weather information, AI summaries, data sources, accounts and subscriptions also describe how Stormline Weather works on iOS and apply alongside that agreement. By downloading, installing or using Stormline Weather, you agree to the terms that apply to your device. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Acceptance of terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Northbaseworks for your use of Stormline Weather on Android, and supplement Apple's Standard EULA on iPhone and iPad. You must be capable of forming a binding contract to use the app. You are responsible for your use of the app and for the security of the device you use it on.

License grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Northbaseworks grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Stormline Weather on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. This license does not give you any ownership interest in the app, and you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from Stormline Weather except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

Weather information

Forecasts, current conditions, radar imagery, lightning information and weather alerts in Stormline Weather are provided for general information only.

AI weather summaries

Where available, Stormline Weather shows short written summaries that are generated by an artificial-intelligence model from forecast values. AI-generated text can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and may not match the forecast data shown elsewhere in the app; where they differ, the forecast data is the more reliable source. Summaries are for convenience only and are subject to everything in the Weather information section above. We may limit how many summaries an account can request, including per day.

Data sources and attributions

Data from these providers is subject to their own terms and licences, and the providers are not responsible for Stormline Weather or for any use you make of their data through it.

Accounts and deletion

Stormline Weather works without an account. You can optionally sign in with Sign in with Apple (iPhone and iPad) or Google (Android) to sync your settings and saved places and to use account-based features. See the Privacy Policy for what an account stores. You're responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple or Google account and device you use to sign in, and for all activity that happens through your account.

You can delete your account at any time. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings, then Delete Account in the app. For accounts created with Google on Android, use northbaseworks.com/stormline/delete-account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it with Apple as described below.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts or devices that violate these terms.

Subscriptions and billing

Stormline Weather offers an optional paid subscription, Stormline Weather Pro, on iPhone and iPad, in monthly and annual plans. The Android app does not currently offer purchases. Stormline Weather's core forecast, radar and lightning features remain usable without a subscription.

All subscription purchases, renewals, and cancellations are processed through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You agree that any billing-related disputes, refund requests, or payment issues must be directed to Apple. The Company does not collect or store your financial or credit card information.

Third-party and external services

Stormline Weather relies on third-party infrastructure and services to function, including Apple (weather data, sign-in, billing and notifications), Google (sign-in, notifications, maps and hosting of our lightning service), Environment and Climate Change Canada, the US National Weather Service, NOAA, Anthropic, Open-Meteo, and our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Stormline Weather's availability depends on these services remaining available; we're not responsible for outages or issues originating from third-party providers.

App marketplace terms

The operator of the app marketplace or store through which you obtained Stormline Weather (Apple Inc. for iPhone and iPad, Google LLC or its subsidiaries for Android) is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you, but has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.

Disclaimer of warranties

Stormline Weather is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure, that any defect will be corrected, or that forecasts, radar, lightning information, alerts, notifications or AI-generated summaries will be accurate, complete or timely. Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this disclaimer may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THE COMPANY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO THE COMPANY (INCLUDING THROUGH THE APPLE APP STORE) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWENTY-FIVE UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($25.00 USD). SOME JURISDICTIONS (INCLUDING CERTAIN CANADIAN PROVINCES) DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Termination

You may stop using Stormline Weather at any time, by deleting your account (see Accounts and deletion above) or by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling the app does not by itself cancel a subscription; cancel through Apple as described above. We may suspend or terminate your access to Stormline Weather if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the app or a feature of it. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Dispute resolution; mandatory arbitration; class action waiver

Residents of the United States: You and the Company agree that any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be settled exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

The venue for any such arbitration shall be Marion County, Florida. However, to ensure accessibility, any arbitration hearing may be conducted virtually, via video conference or telephone, by mutual agreement or at the arbitrator's discretion.

YOU AND THE COMPANY AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, GROUP, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Residents of Canada: The arbitration agreement and class action waiver in this section apply to you unless strictly prohibited by the consumer protection laws of your province or territory of residence (such as Quebec or Ontario). To the extent such local laws apply and prevent mandatory arbitration, any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the competent courts located in your province of residence, under the laws of that province.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, the "last updated" date above will change and we'll make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app. Continuing to use Stormline Weather after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
